Tory MP suggests Dominic Cummings has “taken back control” for himself

Dominic Cummings has “taken back control” for his own benefit, a Conservative MP and former minister has suggested.

Speaking on BBC Politics Live earlier today, Tory MP George Freeman said that: “When people voted to take back control in Mid Norfolk [his constituency], they didn’t mean for it to stop at Dominic Cummings’ desk.”

As Brexit-watchers will be aware, Cummings was the director of Vote Leave – the pro-Brexit campaign that called for people to “take back control” from the EU.

However, while we have now left the EU, the person whose power has grown most in recent months is Dominic Cummings.

Now the Prime Minister’s unassailable chief adviser, Cummings has been accused of forcing out ex-Chancellor Sajid Javid and generally imposing a reign of terror on 10 Downing Street.

Indeed, Freeman was forced out of the Cabinet in the latest reshuffle, and he seems certain that Cummings wields too much power.

If you agree – sign the petition for Cummings to be sacked.
