BREAKING: Proroguing Parliament deemed unlawful

Proroguing Parliament has been deemed unlawful, a court has found.

Jo Maugham QC, a lawyer involved in bringing the case to court, tweeted that the highest court in Scotland had ruled against Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who has suspended Parliament until mid-October.

He added: “We believe that the effect of the decision is that Parliament is no longer prorogued.”

The government has said they will appeal the decision, and the case will be heard next Tuesday.
