Politics in meltdown as Farage slams EU leader for trying to block Brexit delay

In official confirmation that we now live in a parallel universe, Nigel Farage has slammed an EU leader for trying to stop the UK from delaying Brexit.

As we reported a few days ago, Farage has indicated that his preference is to accept a Brexit extension from Brussels and hold a general election.

However, EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker this afternoon indicated that he doesn’t want to see a further delay to Brexit.

In response, Farage barracked the EU leader – slamming him for not delaying Brexit. He said: “So an unelected, retiring bureaucrat says: No extension, take this new treaty or just leave.

“He is overriding the Benn Act. The EU shows itself to be a thuggocracy – power without accountability. Appalling people.”

British politics is so warped that Farage is now actively trying to stop Brexit – siding with, among others, Hilary Benn, who backs a second referendum and tabled legislation requiring Johnson to ask for an extension, if a deal isn’t agreed.

I think I need to lie down.
