Marine Le Pen’s far-right party “struggling for money” after Russia calls in loan

Marine Le Pen’s far-right party is struggling for money due in part to unpaid debts owed to Russia.

According to local press, Len’s Pen National Rally is asking its supporters to pump money into the party, to help it to cope with mounting debt.

This comes after a Russian aviation firm announced it was suing Len Pen to retrieve a $11 million loan that a Russian bank gave the politician in 2014 to finance her political campaigns.

Given that Le Pen has for years supported hardline anti-immigrant, Islamophobic policies, we can’t say we feel too sorry for her.
