Boris Johnson’s latest Brexit proposals have been labelled a “joke”, it has emerged.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, French MP Bruno Bonnell said that the Prime Minister’s new proposals for the Irish border would create “weak” frontiers and barely constituted a plan.
It comes after the French president Macron set a deadline of the end of this week to revise his Brexit plan, after his plans for the Irish border were ridiculed by experts.
Now, one of Macron’s colleagues has joined in the battering of the plan, labelling it “a joke”.
The walls are closing in on Boris Johnson.
