Tommy Robinson has enthusiastically celebrated the result of the general election today. Heaping praise on Boris Johnson’s adviser Dominic Cummings, the far-right figure claims he has attempted to join the Conservative Party.
Lauding the result of the general election on Telegram, a messaging service popular with the far-right, the cult leader praised Johnson and said:
In a separate post, where a sweaty-faced Robinson films himself on an exercise bike, he says:
“Dominic Cummings, your country salutes you!”
Dominic Cummings, one of Johnson’s closest advisers, has been a controversial figure in the Conservative Party. He has been described by people in the party as a “malevelont force“, and has faced calls to resign.
Tommy Robinson, on the other hand, is an openly Islamophobic convict who falsely believes that the white British population is being overrun by Muslims. He’s also openly backed Boris Johnson throughout the election race.
Joining Robinson, other far-right figures and groups – including the pro-Russian Britain First – have been celebrating Johnson’s victory.
If Johnson and Cummings are attracting fans from people like this, it says a lot about the state of the current Conservative Party.
