Despite a seemingly never-ending debate about Brexit day celebrations this Friday, an overwhelming majority of the public won’t be doing anything to mark the occasion.
A new poll from YouGov has found that only 6% of people will “definitely” be marking Britain’s departure from the EU on 31st January. 7% say they will probably mark the occasion, while everyone else seems to think it’s a ridiculous idea.
Ironically, despite the attention devoted to Brexit day by Mark Francois and Nigel Farage, only 25% of Leave voters say they will be doing something to mark the occasion.
Farage, meanwhile, is hosting a big party in Parliament Square, and Francois will be spending the night in a cell after trying to scale Big Ben with a giant hammer.
Everyone is fed up of Brexit, and of Brexiteers. Who can blame them.
